Palm Springs Real Estate Consultation |
Kim Fredericks-Lombardelli is no ordinary real estate agent.
You might say it’s in her blood. Before she began selling real estate in the Coachella Valley more than 15 years ago she worked for her father, who owned his own multi-real estate corporation. Her mother owned an escrow company. Kim’s grandmother had also owned a real estate company in Hawaii.
With all that knowledge and experience, and her own degree in business administration, at her disposal, Kim continued her own real estate career in the desert by affiliating with the Sunrise Company, presenting new and re-sale homes to clients at various country clubs, including Monterey, The Lakes, Palm Valley and PGA West.
For the last seven years she and her husband, Lorenzo, have created their own niche in the real estate market by owning and successfully operating four Coachella Valley RE/MAX offices and three more in San Diego. Currently, most of her business is from returning customers or referrals from her satisfied customers.
“I’m very proud of that fact,” Kim says. “The greatest compliment that a customer has ever given me about my work is that I listened. It’s when they come back to work with you again that you realize you’ve done a good job.”
Kim has a team of professionals who are available to show any property at anytime. Her team includes three buyers’ agents, a transaction coordinator, an escrow coordinator and a marketing coordinator.
“Because I have an experienced team of professionals, I’m free to spend time with my clients on an individual basis,” she says. “I do a lot of marketing, with television, magazines and newspapers in other areas, and the Internet.”
Kim plans to become more active with the first-time buyer. Before joining RE/MAX five years ago her typical client was the second-home buyer and country club member. With her new team she is able to provide more personalized service to a first-time buyer.
“Many agents put themselves into a niche so that potential clients shy away from them because they believe the agent only handles high-end property,” she says. “I am very easy to deal with and serve anyone, buyer or seller. The price is not important, only serving my clients’ needs is.”
Kim is a top producer and a RE/MAX Hall-of-Famer, someone who has been honored for earning more than $1 million in commissions. Helping families buy and sell homes is very satisfying for Kim, but she has another passion, giving back to the community.
“I have
been involved with fundraising for Habitat for Humanity,” she says. “I
have also spent a lot of time working with the Foundation for the
Retarded, which is one of my favorite charities.” When she and her husband designed their newest offices at One El Paseo in Palm Desert, she designed the office, including the kitchen and the lounge, to be 100 percent accessible to people with special needs and they have employed two special people from the Foundation for the Retarded to work in the new offices.
“They were very shy when they first started with us,” she says. “Now they have absolutely blossomed and completely supervise the lounge and know everybody. It’s very rewarding.”
Kim’s efforts on behalf of her friends at Foundation for the Retarded were recognized with a certificate of appreciation from the Riverside County Department of Mental Health Services on May 14.
“Additionally over the years I have financially assisted deserving families obtain their dream homes,” she says. “It’s all about giving back.”
